McColls thanks people and police for support

A NEWSAGENT in Ilminster has sent out a massive thankyou for the support received after an armed robbery at the store.

At around 7am on Sunday, December 23, a masked man went into McColls in East Street and threatened staff with what police described as a “blade instrument” before making off with a quantity of cash.

Though the culprit has yet to be caught, store manager Jane Davies has thanked the police for their support.

“We’ve had wonderful support from the police and PCSOs since it happened,” she said.

“I’d like to thank them and everyone else who has supported us.”

Jane, meanwhile, is reminding people that they could have their News delivered each week directly to their door.

McColls can deliver to homes in Ilminster and surrounding villages, and Jane is offering special offers to new customers.

To enquire about delivery services from McColls, call Jane on 01460-52611.
