TABLE tennis players attended a fun coaching day at Bridgwater’s YMCA to raise money for a national charity.

Members of Bridgwater and District Table Tennis League raised £272 for Pinkpong UK.

Amy Cleaveley, league secretary, said: “Pinkpong UK, founded by Liz May, aims to firstly increase awareness of cancer and secondly to raise money for different cancer charities, foundations and even communities.

“It helps people who find themselves being affected by this terrible disease. The day was a great success, with particular thanks to Bridgwater YMCA for use of the facilities.”
