POLICE have said that a 38-year-old man who sustained serious head injuries in Ilminster on Thursday night is in a 'stable' condition.

The man was taken to Yeovil District Hospital at around 10pm and was then transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

A police spokesman told the News yesterday that the man was in a 'stable' condition and that they were starting talks with him to determine what acutally happened.

Anyone with information is asked to speak with police on 101.
