FORMER Taunton student and Hollywood actress Juno Temple has been shortlisted for the BAFTA Rising Star award.

The 23-year-old, who attended King's College, is one of five young stars nominated for the title after a memorable 2012 on the screen.

Ms Temple appeared alongside a star-studded cast in the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, playing Holly Robinson, the accomplice of Anne Hathaway's character.

She has already starred in several high-profile films, including Atonement, alongside Keira Knightley, Notes on a Scandal alongside Cate Blanchett and Dame Judi Dench, and The Other Boleyn Girl, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman.

Ms Temple is the daughter of director Julien Temple and will learn her fate at the BAFTA film awards on February 10 in London.
