Awards for 20 years of service in Sedgemoor

DEDICATED members of staff at Sedgemoor District Council have received long-service awards.

Sharon Houlet and Pam Berry, from development management, Graham Cox and Dave Derrick, from clean surroundings, Sue Knight, from support services, and Carole Thornton, from the finance department, all received certificates.

Sue, who joined the authority in August 1992, and Graham, who joined in March of the same year, are pictured receiving their certificates from council chairman, Gill Slocombe.

Congratulations to their long standing service. However i would have thought the council could have shown more appreciation and gave them something more than a paper certificate. I know the council has had to do a lot of cutbacks but surely they could have made more effort than a certificate.
