THIS 1991 snap of a swimathon team from the Masons Arms pub in Taunton is a real splash from the past as the charity fundraiser prepares to mark its 25th year.
Plenty of team places are still available for the event at Taunton School on February 9-10, 2013.
Organised by charitable women’s group Soroptimist International Taunton, the family-friendly competition has collected over £525,000 for good causes since it was first staged in 1988.
Trophies will be handed to the teams who raise the most money, complete the most laps and adopt the best theme.
The charities set to benefit from sponsorship raised will be St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice, Taunton Opportunity Group, Somerset Young Carers and the Somerset branch of the National Blind Children’s Society.
