SHOPPERS visiting the newly extended Tesco store in Burnham were greeted by two popular children’s characters as part of a free family event.
Moshi Monster duo Poppet and Katsuma greeted children at the superstore on Ben Travers Way as part of the store’s re-launch celebrations.
The store also hosted free face painting and a complimentary barbecue.
Store Manager, Ian Carvell, said: “We felt the family fun day was a great way of celebrating with our staff and local community.”
Store celebrations will continue with a free calendar give-away, featuring designs from Churchfield Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School.
Both schools will receive a £250 donation and each winning pupil will receive a £25 Tesco gift card.
St Joseph’s head master Mr Simon Kingwell said: “I am extremely proud of our pupils’ artistic creations. I would like to thank Tesco for the donation and I am excited to see the calendars.”
