A HOMELESS advice centre which has served people in Somerset for more than 50 years is facing closure.
The Shelter service, which is based in Taunton but serves the whole county, could close down in the spring following funding cuts.
A spokesman said: “With the recession, benefit cuts and the high cost of housing, now is the worst time to take away the housing safety net that helps people stay in their homes.”
