THE revamped Tesco superstore in Burnham has donated £1,000 to the RNLI.

Store Manager Ian Carvell made the donation Burnham RNLI volunteers, Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes and Chairman Graham Wills, who cut a ribbon to mark the store’s re-launch.

Graham said: “A big thank you to the team for thinking of us. We will use the funds to support our volunteers as they continue their life-saving service.”

Ian added: “We are delighted we have been able to make the donation, as the organisation does such fantastic work to help keep our community safe and educated along the coast.”

Makeover celebrations continue tomorrow (November 24) when children’s characters Moshi Monsters’ Katsuma and Poppet will be at the store.
