THE Ilminster Civic Remembrance Service will be held at the Minster Church on Sunday at 3pm followed by wreath laying at the war memorial.

This year’s Act of Remembrance will be included in the 10.30am church service and the 11.11.11 flag will be flown from the Minster during the week.

A Remembrance Parade will follow the usual format in Ilmin-ster with those wishing to march gathering in Frog Lane at 2.35pm.

After the service and wreath laying the parade will march to Greenfylde First School by way of Silver Street, Ditton Street, Canal Way and Wharf Lane, led by the Stoke-sub-Hamdon Band.

Deputy Lieutenant of Somer-set Lord Cameron, High Sheriff of Somerset Sylvana Chandler, Colonel Paul Richardson, Lt Cdr John Gunn, David Laws MP and the Ilminster Mayor Roger Swann will take the salute in Canal Way.

People wanting to lay wreaths on Sunday have been asked to be in the Minster Rooms by 2.30pm and seated in the choir stalls by 2.50pm.
