THE family of a baby girl who died at just 33 days old have cooked up a tasty way to raise funds in her memory.

Tilly Grace Beaumont was born on March 22, but died five weeks later from a neurological disorder at St George’s Hospital in Lon-don on April 24.

Her family have been raising funds for the hospital – a leading national centre for specialist care including neurology, cardiac care and cancer – to thank staff for the support and kindness they showed.

They held a marathon walk at Ilminster Recreation Ground this summer, led by Tilly’s aunt, Sian Sainsbury, when family members walked a combined total of 26 miles.

Now Tilly’s nan, Chris Sainsbury, has produced a book entitled ‘Tilly’s Treat’, comprising a collection of 33 scrumptious cake recipes given to her by family and friends.

“Tilly was cared for at St George’s with amazing care, compassion and professionalism,” said Chris.

“The staff were incredible, and while we come to terms with what has happened we can still be positive and make good things happen in Tilly’s memory.”

The book includes such delights as Carib-bean Cake, Naughty Chocolate Fudge Cake, Apple and Custard Cupcakes, Flossie’s Flap-jack, Spicy Banana Fruit Cake and Guinness Cake, and is priced just £4.

People can buy it from Adorn Hairdressers in Ditton Street, Ilminster, Chris and Jim Sainsbury on 01460-57825, and the News offices at 3a Fore Street, Chard.
