84-year-old seriously injured in Yelverton crash

An 84-year old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a two-car road traffic collision at Yelverton on Saturday.

The collision took place at around 1.05pm at the junction of the A386 and the Bere Alston turning (commonly known as the junction adjacent to “The Rock.”)

A burgundy Ford Focus driven by the casualty was involved in a collision with a burgundy Fiat Panda being driven by a 61-year-old woman from the Saltash area.

The man was taken to Derriford Hospital where he is said to be in a serious condition.
