Chance for Devon charities to win funding from Mid Devon Star

CHARITIES in Devon could land a cash jackpot with Newsquest South-West.
The Gannett Foundation is the charitable arm of Gannett, owner of Newsquest Media Group, which publishes regional newspapers, websites and magazines nationwide, including the Mid Devon Star.
The Foundation provides funding, typically £5,000 to £10,000, for local projects and organisations in areas where Newsquest operates in the UK.
While preference may be given to ideas which create a durable legacy for the community, Gannett will consider single events or projects of limited duration that otherwise meet the criteria.
Applications, with full guidelines and details on restrictions, must be downloaded from www.middevonstar. co.uk/gannett_foundation The closing date for applications, which must be emailed to alex.cameron@nqsw.co.uk, is no later than September 14, 2012.
