John Lewis Exeter continues search for new staff
4:09pm Monday 11th June 2012 in Devon
THE second phase of John Lewis’s recruitment campaign for retail specialists is now underway in Exeter. The retailer is looking for staff to work at the new John Lewis Exeter shop, due to open later this year.
All remaining roles, including sales assistants, specialist advisers and catering professionals, are now open for applicants. This follows the launch of the first phase of recruitment for section manager roles which has been underway since the start of May.
John Lewis Exeter is on the hunt for around 300 staff to fill the various roles in the first John Lewis shop to open in Devon and Cornwall. Located on Sidwell Street in Exeter city centre, this will be the retailer’s first flexible format department store, and will offer the full John Lewis assortment including fashion, beauty, consumer electronics, home and nursery.
Laura Berry, John Lewis recruitment manager, said: “We’ve had an extremely positive response from local residents for the section manager roles to date. We are looking for people from in and around the Devon area with a wide variety of skills and a positive can-do attitude to fill the additional roles that are now available.
“We need people who are enthusiastic team players, can demonstrate a passion for retail and can deliver an outstanding customer experience. With seven-day trading, we are recruiting for a broad range of roles and offer flexible employment contracts, both full and part-time.”
