QUEEN Elizabeth’s College in Crediton opened up its garden for a new project this month.

The Get Your Grown-Ups Growing project on Saturday, October 8, was part of the RHS Campaign for School Gardening.

Both parents and children helped to plant winter peas in the upper school garden and Basil in pots to take home at the event, which aimed to encourage the community to help develop the school garden.

Shelley O’Berg, a teaching assistant at Queen Elizabeth who helped organised the event, said: “It was great to see parents and their children sharing the activities.

“Learning outside provided opportunities for people to learn new skills while enjoying the experience.”
