Dog falls into effluent tank

A DOG died this morning after falling down a drain cover into an effluent tank containing about 20,000 litres at a farm near Whimple.
A specialist contractor helped remove the effluent from the tank but fire crews from Cullompton and Exeter were unable to save the dog.
