Kids set to rave over rapping robot

RECYCLER, a state-of-the-art rapping robot, brings his tour to Devon early next year to spread the word on recycling.

Between January 12 and 15 Recycler will be visiting primary schools in Devon to bring recycling to life through an interactive educational show.

The show is aimed at teaching pupils and teachers all about the three Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. And yes, the robot really does do a rap.

Recycler shows children what they can do to make a difference and give examples of how they can put the three R’s into practice at home and school.

Education officer Shirley Barre said: "Every household in the UK throws away over one tonne of waste each year and more than half of this can be recycled.

“Recycler raps to the children all about recycling and what they can do to help.

“The children quickly pick it up and join in – it’s a great way to remember important messages and take them home."
