A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after her car crashed into a lorry on the M5.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the M5 Northbound between Sowton and Cullumpton, shortly after 5pm yesterday (August 18).
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "A Vauxhall Astra collided with the trailer of an articulated lorry, leaving the car blocking lane 3 and the lorry on the hard shoulder.
"Police, fire and rescue services attended.
"The woman who was driving the car received non-life threatening and non-life changing injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
There was a full road closure and speed restrictions put in place, while vehicle recovery and cleaning of the highway took place.
