A TIVERTON woman has just been named a top 100 Mumpreneurs after taking her brand Sleepytot global.

Julie Batten, co-designed the original Sleepytot product back in 2006, and took control of the company with her husband in December 2012.

Former police officer Julie is set to be presented with her award later this month.

The company was founded by Lucy Fitzgerald, and together with Julie they designed the Sleepytot bunny, a baby comforter with velcro hands so it can hold onto objects.

She said: "I’ve experienced sleep issues with all of my three children.

"In fact my youngest is still not sleeping through the night regularly at 16 months so I know exactly where exhausted parents are coming from.

"The feedback we get from Sleepytot customers is amazing and makes us realise that they are great products that really can change peoples’ lives.

"This gives us the motivation to keep growing and expanding to reach as many tired parents as we can."

She will be given the top 100 award in a ceremony to be held on November 14 by Mumpreneurs UK.

Julie has previously been named as a mumpreneur, but this year made the step up into the top 100 list.
