LEARNING maths can be a painful process but two Mid Devon primary schools have found a way to make it fun, and memorable.
Cutting, sticking and number crunching was on the menu at Halberton and Uplowman Primary Schools last week, as the children took part in an art and mathematics topic day.
The pupils gathered in groups to get creative as they solved problems and took part in a whole host of topic-related activities, whether it was with card, colours, or just brainpower.
A school spokesperson said: “The children took part in various maths and art activities and found it all very beneficial – as well as having a lot of fun in the process.
She added that the art and mathematics challenge was “an enjoyable day all round.”
The two successful Mid Devon primary schools joined forces in a management partnership agreement in December 2014.
The schools share one head- teacher, Steven Badcott.
