A CREDITON woman has raised over £360 for charity by running the London Marathon last weekend.
Joanna Crooke, 22, from Crediton raised the money for Parkinson’s UK and completed the 26.2 mile challenge in three hours and 43 minutes.
She completed the gruelling course on the last day of Parkinson’s Awareness Week (April 20-26).
Joanna joined a 230-strong team of runners of all abilities who chose to support Parkinson’s UK.
Parkinson’s UK hopes to raise over £315,000 from the event so it can continue with its vital research work to find a cure, and improve the lives of the 127,000 people in the UK who are living with Parkinson’s.
