TIVERTON-based RGB Building Supplies has announced that Healthy Babies UK has been chosen as a winner of their Well Built Community Fund.

The community group will be receiving £1,000 worth of materials from RGB's Tiverton branch to help them develop their services.

In November, the builder's merchant asked community focused projects and groups from across the region to get in contact and tell them how they could help them with a project.

Based on Barrington Street, Tiverton, Healthy Babies UK currently offers a number parenting services such as breastfeeding support, antenatal classes, tongue tie clinic, coffee mornings and sling meet groups. In the future, they would like to set up a satellite human milk donor bank to support sick and low birth weight babies who are in intensive care.

To enable them to do this, they need to make some improvements to their building, which is where the materials donated by RGB Building Supplies will come in.

Jodie Mortimore from Healthy Babies UK said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to RGB Building Supplies.

“The materials will go a long way in helping us create a space for mums donating to the milk donor bank, as well as a warmer and more welcoming space for everyone that uses our services.”
