A MID Devon financial advice service is encouraging people struggling with finances to utilise their free service.
The aim of Money£wise is to improve the quality of life and financial well-being of people in Mid Devon.
Trevor Foreman, Money£wise adviser for Mid Devon, said: “Since April 2013 we have received nearly 1,000 enquiries from Mid Devon residents.
“The service is set up so that people in crisis have a one stop shop for accessing help locally.”
The local welfare assistance scheme provides a variety of support including debt and money advice, food parcel referrals, furniture, gas and electricity top ups, and housing information.
Money£wise advisers work closely with other local services in Mid Devon and can make referrals to other support services.
Money£wise is a free, impartial and confidential service available to eligible applicants.
