Burglars broke into the student hangout at Plymouth’s City College at the weekend.
The offenders broke a reinforced window and smashed their way into the students' room in the early hours of Sunday, December 7.
They stole an X-Box and three controllers, a FIFA 14 game and an amount of cash. They also damaged a television trying to get it off the wall.
Detective Constable John-Paul Eccles, from Devonport police station, said: “This has left students at the college unable to use the facilities while police carry out enquiries.
“We are asking for anyone with information about the burglary or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday to contact us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered these items for sale.”
If you can assist with the investigation please contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting crime reference CR/128506/14.
