TIVERTON Amateur Operatic Society’s latest show, the musical Half A Sixpence, comes to the New Hall from next Monday to Saturday.
It tells the story of Arthur Kipps and Ann, who rekindle a romance only for Kipps to fall for a member of the upper classes.
Malcolm Yeates, 35, who plays the lead role of Kipps, said: “It’s been a challenging role. It’s been a huge effort from myself and all the cast and hopefully I’ve taken it all on board and will give a good performance on the night.
“People should come along and watch as it is a classic musical with some good sing-a-long songs making it really fun.
Performances are at 7.30pm with a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets at £9.50 (concessions £8) are available from Twyford Photography in Bampton Street or on the door.
