A RIBBON-cutting ceremony conducted by The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Percy Prowse, recently took place at Glen House, Marsh Barton Trading Estate, to officially open the Exeter branch of Jelf Insurance Brokers.

In its 25th anniversary year, Jelf marked the event by bringing together clients, professional connections and employees. Themed around a ‘Celebration of Devon’, the opening saw local businesses and clients supply all the essential elements for the special night from food and drinks to sound and entertainment.

Local business man Chris Jelf, founder and Deputy Chair of Jelf, addressed the gathering to thank employees and guests for their continued support. Chris highlighted the exciting opportunity that the business sees within Exeter and the surrounding area.

Jelf was also delighted to welcome both Exeter Chiefs and Somerset County Cricket Club, who both kindly donated signed shirts for the office to auction off for charity over the coming months.

Concluding the speeches, Lee Davey, Regional Managing Director for the broker, said: "It’s fantastic to be able to welcome so many members of the community to the official opening of our Exeter office. The move to this historic city is part of our ambitious growth plans to strengthen our position as one of the leading insurance brokers in the South West. We are committed to providing a tailored, personal service to all our clients and this new office provides the team with a great base from which to do this."
