CLYST Hydon Primary School enjoyed its annual Sports Day in the glorious July sunshine last Friday.
Spectators were treated to a variety of challenging races for children from each year group and key stage.
The race for the 'slowest cyclist' added novelty to the more traditional egg and spoon, sack, relay and a range of track events.
Even the parents were put through their paces in a relay race especially for them.
The event also included races for children from Clyst Hydon Puddleducks Pre-School.
Chair of Governors, Rebekah Wright, said: “The Sports Day was a great success and reflects the ethos of our school in that all children take part in events which challenge them to do the best that they can whilst still having fun.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported the event, all those who worked so hard to organise the day and, of course, the children for performing so brilliantly.”
