Exeter Welcomes the Arrival of the South West’s First Sleep Therapy Clinic
8:00am Tuesday 15th July 2014 in Devon
SLEEPYHEAD Clinic opened its Exeter doors this June.
The first sleep clinic of its kind to be based here in the South West, the clinic provides expert adult sleep therapy with treatment for insomnia and related sleep problems.
Run by Sleep Physiologist Stephanie Romiszewski, the course of treatment combines a scientific knowledge base with a sleep specific form of cognitive behavioral therapy to offer an effective long-term treatment for insomnia and other sleep issues.
Stephanie commented, “We all know how it feels to get one bad night's sleep- and how good it feels when you finally get that blissful, refreshing sleep. Imagine having a bad nights sleep every single night for years and then, after a Sleepyhead course-finally sleeping well. Clients describe the change as euphoric and life changing, it’s incredibly gratifying to be part of a scientific treatment that not only makes people feel this good, but actually improves their long term sleep patterns. It is hard not to be enthusiastic working in sleep medicine.“
Alarmingly, one in three of the population suffers from insomnia at some point in their lives.
As critical to overall health as a nutritionally balanced diet Stephanie says: “Sleep is just as important as diet and exercise. It’s like the missing link- improving sleep will enhance the effects of all the other lifestyle changes we make. The majority of health services don't focus on sleep health, yet sleep affects how we cope with a variety of conditions and illnesses.”
Sleepyhead Clinic is currently taking on new patients for a choice of group, one-to-one or online therapy sessions.
Group sessions are priced at £200 per four-week course, please get in touch for pricing information on one-to-one personal and online sessions.
