DOUGHNUTS, bread and biscuits were on the menu for the children at Tidcombe Primary School as they paid a visit to the bakery at Tiverton's Tesco store.

The children donned hats and aprons as they took a look around the kitchens, iced croissants and completed activities and questions on route.

School administrator Yvonne Land said: “The children were all given a hat to colour in and a clipboard. They then went to the bakery and iced some croissants and the baker showed them how to make bread.

“After this, they walked around the store and looked at all the different kinds of fruit, vegetables, cheeses and fish there were.

“They ended their visit by trying various breads and fruit. They all had a lovely time and would like to thank the staff at Tesco's for making them feel so welcome.”
