WHo gives help and support to Tiverton’s committed sportsmen and women? Who helps with the cost of football kit, swimming togs and even dancing shoes? Who cares that Tivertonians get the chance to fulfill their dreams? Who helps local people to represent themselves, their team, their county, their country and even obtain World Records?

The Tiverton Recreational Trust, that’s who.

When the Exe Valley Leisure Centre was built in Tiverton, the Council had to purchase the land, on which the old pool stood, from what is now the Tiverton Recreational Trust. The Trustees use the interest from that money to provide annual grants, for equipment, kit or travelling expenses, to committed individuals, of all ages, who seek to go further in their sport or recreational pursuit.

So if you live in the old Tiverton Borough, roughly Post Hill to Bickleigh to Withleigh to Cove to Post Hill, and you are striving to improve in your field, whether swimming, shooting, athletics or whatever, the Tiverton Recreational Trust would be pleased to send you an application form. Please email the Secretary at paulwillee@sky.com or the Chairman at hsteele@middevon.gov.uk.

The deadline for applications is June 20th for 2014, and interviews will take place on July 26th.
