Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured following a collision with a lorry in Willand at the weekend.
The collision occurred on the B3181 between The Halfway House Pub and Waterloo Cross at around 10.30pm on Friday, April 25.
A police spokesman said: "The 28-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries including a head injury, and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by ambulance. He was later transferred to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
"The articulated lorry and the pedestrian, who is from the local area, were both travelling in the direction of Waterloo Cross. The road was closed for seven hours while an investigation of the scene took place."
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 931 of 25 April.
