BUSES running between Crediton and Exeter will now run every 15 minutes after Stagecoach South-West announced the introduction of a new route.

Starting next Monday, April 21, the new ‘number five’ route will replace the current 50, 51, 315 and 377 bus routes, providing increased frequencies of buses between the popular market town and the city.

Between Exeter and Crediton, buses will run up to every 15 minutes on seven days a week, making it the ideal choice for commuters, students and leisure travellers.

Beyond Crediton there will be an hourly service to Copplestone.

At Copplestone, the service splits with regular onwards connections to Hatherleigh and Okehampton (5A, up to every two hours), North Tawton, Winkleigh, Great Torrington and Barnstaple (5B, up to every two hours) and Chulmleigh (5C, up to every hour).

To accompany the changes, Stagecoach has also extended the boundary of its Exeter Megarider Plus zone to include Crediton.

This means that passengers benefit from unlimited travel on the number five between Exeter and Crediton, plus all buses within the Exeter Megarider Plus zone, including the entire Exeter city network, from just £20 per week.
