A man has been arrested after a 12-hour samurai sword stand off in Teignmouth.
Police were called to an incident in Teignmouth at around 1.45pm on Wednesday, 9 April after concerns were expressed regarding a man inside a property on Fourth Avenue.
It was reported that a man was in possession of a samurai sword and a hammer.
Officers set up a cordon around the property and Police negotiators attended the scene.
Following negotiations, a 51-year-old man was arrested at around 1.50am this morning, Thursday, 10 April and is in custody at Torquay Police Station.
