X FACTOR winner Joe McElderry is appearing at Exeter Corn Exchange on Thursday 1 May 2014. Joe rose to fame when he won the sixth series of the ITV show in 2009.

His first single, The Climb, reached number one in the UK and Irish singles chart and was soon followed by the release of his debut album - Wide Awake.

He returned to our TV screens in 2011 when he was the triumphant winner of the second series of ITV show Pop Star to Opera Star receiving 80% of the voting throughout the series.

The Joe McElderry success story went from strength to strength and last year he released Here’s What I Believe, becoming the first ever X Factor winner to release four albums.

The album also marked a major advance in his development as an artist as Joe showed the world what a talented song writer he is too.

Although Joe is still just 22, he is currently writing and recording for his fifth album which should be released this year.

He has sold over 2 million records and has 350,000 twitter followers and his Corn Exchange show offers a chance for his fans to see this incredible singer with his band performing songs from Rock to Pop to Classical.

Joe’s remarkable run of TV success continued in 2014 when he won the Channel 4’s skiing contest The Jump beating Sir Steve Redgrave, Marcus Brigstocke and Donal MacIntyre with a 17.5 metre jump in the final which was shown live from Austria.
