PRODUCTION has begun on LP Creative’s highly anticipated theatre show ‘Hansel and Gretel’ at Tiverton Community Arts Theatre.
The show, directed by Lorna Price from a script by Tom Beard, will be a feelgood, family fun feast headed by Coronation Street and Benidorm star Margi Clarke as the Wicked Stepmother/Witch and CBBC’s ‘The Slammer’ star JezO as Hansel.
The show travels into the world of the Brothers Grimm at Tiverton Community Arts Theatre on Friday, April 11, at 3pm and follow LP’s sell-out tour of ‘Fairytales of the Unexpected!’ in 2012.
Based on the popular German story, first recorded and published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812, ‘Hansel and Gretel’ brings together the amazing magic, sets, costumes and scripts synonymous with an LP production.
The star-studded cast will be joined by Jessica Hathaway (Milkshake Tour), Rachael Born (Edinburgh Review star) and Tom Beard (Russell Howard’s Good News), who will bring their talents to the respective roles of Gretel, the Forest Fairy and the babbling, hapless Father, who likes Gingerbread a little too much.
All this as well as puppets, illusions and a full supporting cast.
