Warning as methadone left on Plymouth bus
6:00am Wednesday 19th March 2014 in Devon
Police are urging anyone who finds some small bottles left at a bus stop in Plymouth to hand them in.
Three 100ml bottles of methadone were left at the bus stop at the end of Wolseley Road, by the Tesco Extra store, on Tuesday 18 March between 2.30pm and 4pm.
A police spokesperson said: “A woman left the bottles at the bus stop by mistake and when she went back to get them, they had gone.
“They could be lethal if consumed by anyone other than the person they were dispensed for.
“We are urging anyone who finds them to get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
Anyone who finds the bottles is asked to call police on 101 quoting property reference B/144588 or hand them in to the nearest police station.
Charles Cross police station is open from 8am until 10pm, and Crownhill police station is open from 9am until 6pm.
