CREDITON rugby player Sam Hill made his England Saxons debut last Saturday (January 25) during a 14-8 defeat to the Ireland Wolfhounds.
The former Queen Elizabeth’s school pupil and current Exeter Chiefs centre started in the number 12 shirt and made a number of impressive carries before being forced off with an injury after half an hour.
Hill, 20, was a member of the World Cup winning under-20s side in 2013 and has quickly made the jump to England’s second string squad.
Neil Kay, Head of PE, said “Here at QE we are extremely proud of Sam. He serves as a role model to all our young players at the school and to see his progress in the last few years has been exciting for everyone at the school.”
