JIM Causley and Lukas Drinkwater will present the Poetry of Charles Causley at Bradninch Folk Club.
Jim, a five times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee, has recorded an album of poems by his distant relative to commemorate the tenth anniversary of his death.
He has set to music a diverse selection of poems to give a taste of the celebrated Cornish poet’s of work.
He and others have produced an album, Cyprus Well, recorded live in Charles Causley’s house in Launceston and many of the tracks feature Causley’s own piano.
Jim aims to bring wider attention to Causley’s poems and raise awareness of the Charles Causley Trust and|its mission to preserve Causley’s house as a writers’ retreat.
Talented guitarist Lukas Drinkwater, best known on the folk scene as the bass player from the Three Daft Monkeys, will join Jim on stage in Bradninch.
Resident and visiting performers including Devon Bird will provide support.
Tickets for the performance in the function room of|the Castle Hotel on|Tuesday, January 21, at 8pm are £4.
