ENTREPRENEURS are being offered the chance to discover the hidden potential of their businesses at a free workshop in Tiverton.

The Making More of Your Business workshop gives owners a health check on how effectively they manage their operation, marketing and finances and a clear action plan to improve profitability.

The event, which is suitable for sole traders and larger organisations, has been organised by the Business Information Point (BIP), the not for profit business support agency, and takes place on Tuesday from 5.30pm to 8pm at the Tiverton Hotel.

One business owner who has benefited from using BIP's services is Chris Prentis of Super Tramp, the Mid-Devon based company currently celebrating 30 years of supplying trampolines.

He said: "The BIP workshop was very useful in getting me to refocus on the business and where it's going.

“When you are running a business you are so involved in the day to day work that you don't have time to look at the bigger picture; this workshop allowed me to take time out and really look at our strategy with an objective business advisor.”

The workshop is funded by Mid-Devon District Council and following the session, businesses have the option to work with a qualified BIP advisor on a one-to-one basis to put their actions into practice for just £20 per session.

It can be booked online on www.bipwestdevon.biz or by calling 0800 592872
