FIREFIGHTERS and a search and rescue dog were sent to investigate after concerns people could be trapped following the collapse of a wall in Exeter.

Crews discovered a ten-metre long embankment wall had collapsed at St James Road.

A fire service spokesman said: “Crews used a thermal imaging camera and the search and rescue dog to confirm no persons were trapped with the collapsed wall.”

The call-out came at 8.15am.
