Tiverton Balloon and Music Festival dates announced

SCORES of hot air balloons will fill the skies of Tiverton when the annual Balloon and Music Festival is held this summer.

Organisers have announced dates for the popular event which takes place over the weekend of July 12-14.

The skies will come alive as darkness falls on Friday and Saturday with the Night Glow Fire and Light Show.

Balloonists will light their burners, inflate their balloons and turn them into giantlight bulbs, lighting up the nightin a dazzling display of colours in time with music.

The festival, which attracted more than 8,000 people last year, has raised £16,000 over the last two years and will take place on the combined Petroc/Tiverton High School Campus.

The event supports two local charities, Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Children’s Hospice South West, and local clubs and organisations.

A Taste of theWest marquee atthe festival will showcase local food and drink and an outdoor Kids Zone will be on offer for children.
