A WOMAN is being held in police custody following the death of two-year-old boy in Devon.
The boy's body was discovered at a property in Champernowne, Modbury, at around 8.20am on Saturday (January 19), following a report to police.
A 40-year-old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody at Charles Cross Police station.
Devon and Cornwall police has appealed for anyone who may have seen a woman walking between Modbury and Wrangaton between 2am and 8.15am on Saturday, January 19, to contact them.
A spokesman said: "The woman in question is described as having fair, shoulder-length hair and wearing a black jacket, black jeans and green wellington boots."
