AN ELDERLY woman suffered a fractured leg and cuts to her face and head after she was robbed while getting off a bus in Exeter.
The incident occurred between 9.30am and 10.00am this morning, Wednesday, January 16, in Willey’s Avenue, off Alphington Road, Exeter.
The victim, an 83-year-old woman, had just got off a bus and was walking to her home address when she was approached, pushed to the floor and had her handbag and contents stolen.
She suffered a suspected fractured femur and lacerations to her face and head and was conveyed to the R D & E Hospital for treatment.
Police want to identify a young man who was seen on a pedal cycle, possibly a BMX bike, who was in the area at the time.
