Wellington eyesore gets go-ahead for new homes development

AN eyesore site in Wellington could be turned into retirement homes after a development got the go-ahead.
McCarthy & Stone got the green light to turn the derelict former Wellington Medical Centre at Bulford into 42 later living apartments by Taunton Deane planners on Wednesday night.
The application was expected to be refused, but was granted subject to the developers contributing to affordable housing and recreation facilities.
