A ROAD in Wellington which was closed two months ago when heavy rain brought a wall down is still shut.
Residents who use Burchills Hill in Tonedale every day are still without access after November’s floods.
A home owner’s wall collapsed on to the road, making it unsafe to pass, and it has been closed ever since.
Vivien Lyons, a regular user of the road, said: “It’s causing us problems and very inconvenient – it’s one of the main roads through.”
Taunton Deane and Somerset County Councils say the road will only re-open when it is safe, but added that neither could do anything about it as it is not their property.
A Deane spokesman said: “We’ve served a notice on the owner of the wall to say the dangerous part needs to be made safe.”
