TREES were brought down in a number of locations in Devon during heavy overnight wind and rain.
The Met Office reported winds of up to 70mph.
Devon County Council workers have been clearing fallen trees in 70mph in Chagford, Manaton and Belstone on Dartmoor, Vaughan Road, Exeter and Cullompton.
A road in Manaton is blocked, while the other roads are passable with care, according to the council.
Hugh Griffith, from the county council, said: "The wind is going to be with us for a while but hopefully the rain will ease.
"It looks like showery rain so hopefully we will have a bit of respite."
The region has 13 flood warnings in place and 48 flood alerts, according to the Environment Agency.
