Police appeal for witnesses to Plymouth nightclub assault

 Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in an attack in the ‘Disco Room’ at Oceana nightclub, located in the Coxside area of the city.

The incident is thought to have taken place around 2.40am, in the early hours of Sunday 7 October 2012.

A police spokesman said that a young man was punched from behind, causing temporary hearing loss. The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for a serious injury.

A police spokesman said, “This was a cowardly assault. There were a number of people in the vicinity at the time of the incident and I would urge them to contact us if they saw the incident or have any information about the assault.”
