Truro MP Sarah Newton MP has welcomed members of the Mid Cornwall Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to the House of Commons.
The group was given a full tour of the Palace of Westminster last week before attending a reception where they were able to meet with Sarah and Margot James MP, a member of the Business Select Committee.
Both Sarah and Ms James were able to discuss the Government ’s actions on business policy in providing more support to small and medium sized businesses while cutting back on bureaucratic red tape.
The FSB members were also able to voice their concerns and have them addressed by both Mrs Newton said: “I am absolutely delighted that members of the Mid Cornwall FSB were able to come up to Westminster and have a chance to hear what this Government is doing to help small businesses.
“I’m also so pleased that we have been able to release our business guide as it is sometimes very difficult to be able to find the right information and support that people need.
“By having this all in one, easy-to-read format, it can point those looking for help in the right direction.
“Small businesses are at the very heart of our communities and I will continue to do all that I can to support people in setting up and growing their businesses in these challenging times.”
