Pedestrian dies in early hours collision near Truro

A male pedestrian has died after a collision near Truro during the early hours of this morning.

The man was walking on the A390 at Penstraze when he was involved in a collision with a silver Kia Rio travelling from the direction of Truro, towards Chiverton Cross, at 12.30am.

Police are in the process of confirming the man’s identity and informing his family.

The road was closed for six hours whilst police carried out their investigations at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses, who are asked to call 101 quoting reference DCP/0017/26/09/12
