A 27-YEAR-OLD man faces six charges of voyeurism at HMS Seahawk at RNAS Culdrose.

David Robert Esam, 27, who gave an address in Hull, entered no pleas at Truro Magistrates' Court where he also faced three charges of possessing indecent photographs of a child; and one of theft of an outboard motor and fishing equipment worth £1,345.

Alison May, for the CPS, said the voyeurism offences, which dated back to 2010, consisted of recording another person doing a private act for the purpose of sexual gratification.

The case was adjourned to July 27 for committal to Truro Crown Court.

  • Esam subsequently pleaded guilty at Truro Crown Court to six charges of voyeurism. He was given a three-year community order and placed on the sex offenders register for five years, plus ordered to pay each of his victims £500 in compensation.

The charges relating to indecent photographs of a child were dropped.
